Places to visit in Wondai

Wondai is situated in the heart of the agriculturally rich and naturally beautiful South Burnett region.

For things to see and do in Wondai, we recommend that you check with our Visitor Information Centre
situated in the South Burnett Timber Industry Museum, Bunya Highway, Wondai.

Entry is free to this must see piece of Wondai History showcasing our timber industry. Many handcrafted works in timber are on display and some are for sale.

The WOODCRAFTERS COTTAGE , next door to the Timber Industry Museum is home for many of our local woodworkers and many articles displayed in the museum are handcrafter here. Why not look in and see what they are doing?

Wondai Art Gallery, situated on the roundabout, is home to many artists – local and visiting. A new display opens to the public on the first Saturday of the month after opening night on the first Friday. At the end of the month the gallery closes for a week to allow for removal and hanging of displays. (Open 10.00am to 4.00pm – 7days)

ROSIE’S PLACE B & B offers comfortable, private, quality, affordable accommodation for a single or couple. Contact Chris & George for details.
